Alcohol awareness program in Frazee 
The City of Frazee, Western Area City County Cooperative (WACCO) and Frazee-Vergas Community Education are collaborating to bring several speakers in for “Shattered Lives,” a community alcohol awareness program. It will be Monday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Frazee Event Center.

Opponents say Frazee school board playing "dirty" with custodial company

Frazee super to stay another year
The Frazee-Vergas School Board approved hiring interim superintendent Chuck Cheney for one more year, which caused applause from audience members — largely made up of district staff.
On Feb. 1, the school board has a working session to discuss personnel changes within the district and about where the district should go with hiring a superintendent.

Frazee School food service is improving
Laura Bjerke, director of dining services with Chartwell Food Service, said the company’s transition to Frazee-Vergas School District “started out a little rough.”
After long-time kitchen supervisor Rita Slupe retired last year and the district decided to contract out with Chartwells instead of hiring to replace Slupe, Bjerke said she received a lot of resignations from kitchen staff. Chartwells hired new staff and started training people to cook.
