Annual All City Band Festival canceled this year
For 48 consecutive years, the Detroit Lakes All City Band Festival has been held this time of year — give or take a couple of weeks. No alternative dates on the school activities and testing calendars are available to reschedule.
The Band Festival dates this year coincide with the Minnesota State High School Boys Basketball Tournament. With the Detroit Lakes boys varsity basketball team advancing to the state tournament this year, the 49th version of the annual All City Band Festival will continue next year.
