Donna Sauvageau, left, and Joni Wohlwend hold up one of the 'kid kits' that Sauvageau assembled to deliver to the Becker County Human Services building on Monday. The kits were assembled inside 'Clever Shopper' bags that were donated for the project by Sauvageau's Clever Container clients. A total of 30 kits were delivered and will be donated to kids in the county's foster care program, which Wohlwend supervises.

The 10 young ladies competing in the Miss Wolf Lake Pageant on Friday, Aug. 26 include  (clockwise from upper left): Bailey Tinjum, Rylee Turcotte, Marie Mastin, Brittany Lormis, Lilly DeBlieck, Lillian Nelson, Charlie Johnson, Rilynn Ruiz, Ella Behrmann and Madilynn Perrine. Justin and Jayme Clark and their kids helped Habitat for Humanity board members (and their kids) break ground on the Clarks’ new home Monday evening. The Clarks were the recipients of a new Habitat for Humanity house that has been constructed by Detroit Lakes High School building trades students over the winter, but must help Habitat board members complete the work on the basement, garage and landscaping.
