Circus Minimus comes to DL Library

Join the fun at Detroit Lakes Library on Thursday, July 24, at 2 p.m. as Circus Minimus Puppetry stages "A la Carte: In a Fool's Kitchen," a classic battle between a clown French chef and a wily lobster set to live accordion music.

A family-friendly spectacle, "A la Carte" is a highly physical, playfully interactive comedy featuring clowning, puppetry and a few unruly vegetables. Circus Minimus Puppetry is comprised Minneapolis duo Shari Aronson and Chris Griffith. CMP has performed for family audiences at theaters, museums, libraries, festivals and special events throughout the Midwest and across the country.

This program is free and a part of "Look What's Cookin' at your Library," the 2008 Minnesota Summer Reading Program. This activity is funded in part by a grant from the Lake Region Arts Council through a Minnesota State Legislative Appropriation.

Detroit Lakes Library invites all elementary aged children and their families to a summer of fun at their library. For more info, call 847-2168.
