FCCLA members compete in Region 6 STAR events

Forty members of the Lake Park-Audubon FCCLA chapter competed at the Region 6 STAR Events competition in Lake Park Audubon High School on Monday, Feb. 10.

Some of the STAR (Students Taking Action with Recognition) event topics included: Ronald McDonald House, Treats for Troops, Chapter Showcase/Review Display, Families Acting for Community and Traffic Safety, Stiches to Help, Life Event Planning, Santas for Seniors, Nutrition Lessons, Giving Tree, Diversity and Acceptance, Run, Yell, and Tell Children’s Safety Lessons, Cyber Bullying, Sports and Nutrition, and Publicize and Promote.

Forty members received Gold State Advancing Medals, which qualifies them to attend the State Convention in Bloomington on April 10-12.
