Travis Leitheiser benefit

A spaghetti dinner benefit for Travis Leitheiser, who was injured in a car accident in September, is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Speak Easy, DL. There will also be a silent auction. Funds raised will help defray medical bills.

Wolfe, Riehle fundraiser

A spaghetti dinner fundraiser to support Zach Wolfe and Dylan Riehle’s summer trip to Europe is from 4-7 p.m. in Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, Callaway. Adults are $8, kids 6-12 are $5 and children under 6 are free.

Catholic Daughters

Pancake breakfast

The Knights of Columbus sponsors a pancake/French toast and sausage breakfast from 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the Holy Rosary Parish Center. All proceeds will go to the Becker County Food Pantry.

Uganda Mission concert

A Lakes Area Uganda Mission benefit concert is at 2 p.m. in Zion Lutheran Church, DL. It is a free-will offering. Artists performing include Lee Brenna, Deb Bruns, Linda Grefsrud, Randy Nubson, Madison Korf, Randy Skow-Anderson, Adam Albright and Bob Kohler plus more.

VFW pancake feed

The VFW Post 9880 & Auxiliary host a pancake and sausage breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Ogema Community Center. Adults are $6, children 6-12 are $4 and under 6 are free. For information, call Doug Fabre, Quartermaster, at 218-983-3443.

Overeaters Anonymous Detroit Lakes Serenity Group meets Tuesdays at noon in the second floor library of the First Lutheran Church.

Medallion Center Quilt class

Lake Park Audubon Community Ed. hosts a Medallion Center Quilt class starting March 4.  This quilt is made with border material using a variety of techniques including a nine patch square, saw tooth and piano keys.  This is a 3-week class, with the second week, March 18, and the last to be determined at the first class. The fee for this class for all three weeks is $18. French toast breakfast

The Lake Park Lions host a Breakfast Brunch Fundraiser from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Lake Park City Center.  It is a freewill offering. Rep. Steve Green will also be helping at the breakfast, followed with hosting a town hall meeting.

P.E.O. Chapter FG

P.E.O Chapter FG meets at 9:30 a.m. in the home of Cheryl Mollberg, with Mary Haney and Kirsten Vogt assisting. Program will be presented by Cheryl Mollberg. Refreshments will be served.

Daughters of Norway

A Daughters of Norway Lodge has been newly chartered in Fargo, with membership open to women throughout the area.  Membership is open to women of Nordic descent — Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Icelandic or Finnish — or who have or have had a spouse of Scandinavian descent. Driver’s safety refresher

Battle of the Businesses Bowling Tournament

Fish fry

The Knights of Columbus will be sponsoring Lenten Fish Fries on Fridays, March 7-April 11, from 5-7 p.m. in the Holy Rosary Parish Center. Cost is $8 for adults and $5 for those under 12. All proceeds return to the community.

Art of Marriage seminar

The Seventh-day Adventist Church, DL, hosts “The Art of Marriage” seminar on March 14, from 6:30-9 p.m. and March 15-16 from 3-6 p.m. both days. L.A. (Lakes Area) Moms is designed to nurture every mother. At our L.A.
