Two new summer adventure day camps offered through Concordia Language Villages

Concordia Language Villages is offering two new Adventure Day Camp programs for summer 2014: Les Voyageurs French wilderness adventure and Helvetia, a Swiss program.

As a Les Voyageurs day camper, participants ages 6-11 will craft, camp, cook, tent, swim, paddle, sing and play, all while learning French.

Each day while at the base camp, participants will learn French in a setting that doesn’t exist anywhere except at Concordia Language Villages.

Climb in the canoe and go on an adventure! Three summer sessions are available: July 7-11, August 4-7 and Aug. 18-22.

During the Helvetia Adventure Day Camp, participants ages 6-11 will live the languages and culture of Switzerland.

Located at Waldsee, the German Language Village, Helvetia Swiss Adventure Day Camp offers a great experience in Switzerland’s three major languages –German, French and Italian – together with exciting discoveries in Swiss culture and cuisine. The program runs Aug. 18-22.

In addition to the new Les Voyageurs and Helvetia Swiss programs, Adventure Day Camps are offered this summer in eight languages: Arabic, Finnish, French, German, Norwegian, Russian, Spanish and Swedish.

The Adventure Day Camps take place at the Concordia Language Villages’ Turtle River site, just 15 minutes northeast of downtown Bemidji.

Programs are day-long (9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.) and run weekly from June-August.
