High Tunnel class in Park Rapids

Spring time in Minnesota can be unpredictable and if you are a gardener that can be frustrating.

Come and learn how you can extend the growing season by using a high tunnel. Terry Nennich, University of Minnesota Extension educator, will teach a course on High Tunnel Gardening on Tuesday, April 29, from 6-9 p.m. in the C’Mon Inn, 1009 Highway 34 East, Park Rapids.

The course will include an introduction to High Tunnels, structures, site selection and environment, crop layout and planting methods, water management and soil fertility, disease and pest management, organic production and basic economics of production.
