Grimsley to take on Marquart for Minnesota House 4B seat

Becker County Commissioner Ben Grimsley received the Republican endorsement for House District 4B.

Grimsley, a sixth-generation resident of Detroit Lakes, is currently serving his second term on the Becker County Board of Commissioners and owns and operates Anchor Financial Services LLC, a planning and investment firm.

Grimsley is anxious to get to St. Paul to address issues like welfare reform, health insurance costs, workforce shortages, infrastructure for West Central Minnesota and an overall reduction in reporting requirements for nursing homes, human services and related fields regulated by the state.

“I’m excited to start campaigning and meeting the people in my district once again,” he said in a news release.

He will face longtime DFL Rep. Paul Marquart of Dilworth.
