Friday, Nov. 4
At 11:23 a.m. a caller reported a theft on the 100 block of Meadow Lane, where a FedEx package was opened, and the contents were removed, leaving the box behind. The caller reported the stolen item had a value of $65.
At 12:25 p.m. a caller reported a lock had been broken, but nothing was believed to be missing from a property on Eighth Street Southeast in Detroit Lakes.
At 5:03 p.m. a dirt bike was stolen from the 400 block of Fifth Street in Audubon.
At 8:09 p.m. a caller reported watching a neighbor's tires get slashed on the 500 block of East Central Street in Detroit Lakes.
At 8:41 p.m. an intoxicated male reportedly drove into another vehicle on the 200 block of West Lake Drive. He then passed out in the back seat of the vehicle.
At 10:26 p.m. a caller reported a male had gained entry to the porch of a residence on the 200 block of Union Street in Detroit Lakes. The caller then believed the male went to the next house and attempted to break in.
Saturday, Nov. 5
At 11:34 a vehicle's tires were slashed on the 200 block of Andrews Avenue in Detroit Lakes.
Sunday, Nov. 6
At 12:28 a.m. a caller reported his brother had damaged his cigarette machine by dumping alcohol on it while the two were drinking at a residence on the 500 block of East Main Street. The machine apparently worked fine the next day.
At 8:48 a.m. a male stole a television from an apartment on the 500 block of Washington Avenue in Detroit Lakes and took off running east then north near Napa Auto Parts.
At 9:59 a.m. a caller reported a broken window on the 500 block of Lake Avenue.
At 4:17 p.m. a vehicle's tires were slashed on the 400 block of State Street East in Detroit Lakes.
At 12:21 p.m. a 17-year-old male riding a bicycle with no brakes collided with a vehicle at the corner of Holmes Street and Roosevelt Avenue in Detroit Lakes. The bicyclist was taken to Essentia by ambulance with possible serious injuries.
Monday, Nov. 7
At 8:30 a.m. Republican political signs were reportedly stolen from a yard on the 1100 block of Summit Avenue.
At 8:42 a.m. an American flag was reported stolen from the 300 block of Main Street.
At 9:18 a.m. a FedEx package was reported stolen from the 800 block of Central Street in Detroit Lakes.
At 10:41 a.m. a motor vehicle was reported stolen from M & W Foods in White Earth.
At 11:13 a.m. Carsonville Fire and Rescue responded to a grass fire on the 32000 block of 500th Avenue in Pine Point. The fire department was on the scene for about 30 minutes.
At 3:51 p.m. a male broke into the change dispenser of a photo booth in the Washington Square mall, damaging the booth, but it was unclear if anything was stolen.
At 4:37 p.m. a caller reported property damage done at the Lake Park city park, where door knobs were broken off doors on a storage shed over the weekend.
At 6 p.m. a tractor caught fire east of the 17000 block of County Road 12. While steering the vehicle, the driver noticed a fire beneath the tractor and called the authorities. The Audubon Fire Department and the Lake Park Fire Department both responded for two hours and 1.5 hours, respectively.
At 8:25 p.m. a gas can was reported stolen from the 400 block of West Fir Avenue in Frazee.
Tuesday, Nov. 8
At 10:17 a.m. a wallet was reported stolen from Trinity Lutheran Church. The caller reported it had gone missing after she registered to vote.
At 1:48 p.m. political signs were reported stolen from a yard on the 1100 block of Summit Avenue. The caller stated this was the fourth incident of stolen signs at that residence.
At 10:03 p.m. a caller reported a building on the 400 block of Washington Avenue was full of smoke. The Detroit Lakes Fire Department responded but was unable to determine the source of the smoke.
At 2:55 p.m. someone driving a vehicle swerved to avoid hitting a cat and instead hit a telephone pole in an alley by the liquor store in Audubon. Neither the driver nor the cat were injured.
At 2:58 a caller reported a truck had caught fire next to a building on the 13000 block of 230th Street.
At 4:15 p.m. a caller reported property damage done on the 23000 block of 310th Street
Wednesday, Nov. 9
At 12:29 p.m. a caller reported a 50-inch television was stolen from the 28000 block of Migizi Avenue in Ponsford.
