DL man accused of burglarizing convenience store
Tevohn James Lague, 19, of Detroit Lakes has been charged in Becker County District Court with felony third-degree burglary.
According to court records, at 1:56 a.m. on June 26 law enforcement officers responded to a motion alarm at a Detroit Lakes convenience store, which was not named in the complaint.
The glass door in the front of the building had been shattered to gain entrance. A witness told a police officer that he saw two people walking from the gas station heading towards the southwest. The officer found Lague and a juvenile co-defendant and they were arrested. Several items from the store were allegedly found on the two suspects, and a heavy steel ratchet driver was found in the backpack of the juvenile male. Both had tiny glass fragments on their shoes, and surveillance video from the store appeared to show Lague was involved.
On June 27, Lague appeared before District Judge Jay Carlson, who set cash bail at $200 and bond at $5,000, with standard conditions of release, or $10,000 without conditions.
