2017 route for Parade of the Northwest does not include Summit Avenue

This year's Parade of the Northwest will begin to assemble in the Chamber parking lot staging area at about 11:30 a.m. this Sunday. Step-off time for the parade is 1 p.m., with participants heading east on Front Street to Washington Avenue, then all the way south to the Pavilion before making the turn onto West Lake Drive, finishing just past the Summit Avenue intersection in front of Zorbaz.

An article that appeared on the front page of the Detroit Lakes Tribune contained some outdated information about the route to be used for this year's Parade of the Northwest.

The Parade of the Northwest will get underway at 1 p.m. this Sunday,  with floats and marchers starting to assemble at 11:30 a.m. in the Chamber parking lot staging area. The route will go east on Front Street to Washington Avenue, where it will head south all the way down to the Pavilion, curling around the corner where Washington becomes West Lake Drive and continuing until just past Zorbaz.
