An Alexandria man was injured Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Audubon. The other driver, a Detroit Lakes woman, was not injured in the crash.

According to the State Patrol, Maty Rae Monson, 22, of Detroit Lakes was westbound on Highway 10 in a 2004 Oldsmobile Alero.

Chase Charles Kohler, 22, of Alexandria was driving a 2004 Pontiac GTO south on Fourth Street and attempted to make a left turn crossing the west bound lanes to go east on Highway 10.

Kohler failed to yield to the westbound traffic and was broadsided by the Oldsmobile. He was taken to Essentia Hospital in Detroit Lakes for minor injuries. Monson suffered no injuries, according to the State Patrol. Both were wearing seatbelts, airbags deployed in both vehicles, and no alcohol was involved.

The crash was reported on dry pavement at 5:15 p.m. and Becker County deputies assisted at the scene.
