DL man sentenced for exposing himself to young girls
Brian Trevor Jahnke, 51, of Detroit Lakes has been sentenced in Becker County District Court for felony distributing via electronic communications material that relates/describes sexual conduct to a child.
A felony charge of possession of pornographic works and two gross misdemeanor fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct charges were dismissed in a plea agreement.
According to court records, Jahnke exposed himself multiple times to two young girls he babysat at his home on Becker County County Road 54.
The incidents happened between Christmas of 2012 and Easter of 2013.
The girls said Jahnke would expose his privates to them by pulling up the leg of his shorts when he was babysitting them.
The youngest child also reported that Jahnke would force her to sit next to him on the couch and watch pornographic videos.
A search warrant of Jahnke's computer turned up a picture of a juvenile female engaged in a sexual act.
Jahnke appeared in court April 11 before District Judge Joe Evans, who sentenced him to 15 months in prison at St. Cloud, stayed four years. He was ordered to serve 180 days in jail, with credit for one day served. Work release privileges were granted. He must pay a $1,000 fine and $1,160 in court fees, and was ordered to complete a psycho-sexual evaluation and follow the recommendations. He must register as a predatory offender and cannot have unsupervised contact with anyone under age 18. He must get a chemical dependency evaluation and follow the recommendations, and was placed on supervised probation for four years.
