Kaiser Properties adds DL office

Looking to add a Detroit Lakes office, Kaiser Properties recently opened an office along south Washington Avenue.

"We were looking to expand into the lakes area to better serve our customers," explained Kaiser Properties owner/operator Monica Kaiser.

Kaiser started her namesake realty company in 2005. With an office currently located in Dunvilla, Kaiser noted she was looking for an old-fashioned realty office for her Detroit Lakes venture.

"I was looking for something that had high traffic and good walk-in potential, kind of an old concept for downtown businesses," she said.

Currently, Kaiser Properties employees six realtors: Gregg Swanson. Leah Larson, John Holstad, Matt Wimmer, Bud Nelson and Hans Hermanson. Broker Monica Kaiser, husband and Kaiser Properties manager Gary Kaiser, secretary Glori French, and sales associate Jonathon Campbell round out the Kaiser Properties office personnel.

Located at 1150 Washington Avenue, the old Kirby Vacuum space, John Holstad, Matt Wimmer and Jonathon Campbell will be the faces at Kaiser Properties Detroit Lakes office.

"The space was perfect. The corner of Washington Avenue and Willow Street is a very busy corner and always has been," remarked Wimmer.

Specializing in lakeshore properties, Kaiser Properties also handles residential and commercial realty as well.

"Matt and John are a great fit for the office. They were born and raised here and have a connection to the area which is great for our clients," added Kaiser. "They also know the local market and want the Detroit Lakes office tp be a thriving one."

In the Christmas spirit, Kaiser Properties recently held a Holiday Homes Tour for a few of its properties that were decorated for the season.

Admission to the traveling holiday home event was a children's gift for the local Jaycees Christmas toy drive.

"We wanted to be able to give something back to the community this season, and we had a variety of homes beautifully decorated for the season, so we held a Holiday Homes Tour," she explained.

The realty company had three homes on their Holiday Homes Tour: 1102 Summit Avenue, 16524 Bird Dog Road, Little Cormorant, just off of Country Road 11 and 29160 Tee Lake, and "Abandon Antiques," Highway 59 south, off of Country Road 17.

"The homes are for sale but the objective was to do something for the community at Christmas," said Kaiser, "and these houses are so stunningly decorated for the holidays."

Kaiser noted great weather helped the toy-gathering event to be a success for the local realty company. Kaiser Properties was able to collect over 20 toys during their Holiday Homes Tour.

"A beautiful day was conducive to a great turn out. We generated about two-dozen toys thanks to the generous donations of the people who attended our Holiday Homes Tour," commented Kaiser.

If persons were unable to participate in the Holiday Homes Tour, Kaiser noted donations could also still be dropped off at Kaiser Properties' new Detroit Lakes office located at 1150 Washington Avenue.

"We are happy to be in Detroit Lakes and I feel lucky for all the great people I get work with. They are a great team," concluded Kaiser.
