Anishinaabe Center hosts Young Warriors Society

The Young Warriors Society meets after school in the Anishinaabe Center, Detroit Lakes.

The Young Warriors Society is an organization created to give children an alternative place to belong instead of gangs. It has a Code of Honor based on the mutual respect of its members.

The positive, after school program is based on the traditions of the Anishinaabe people including a talking circle, arts and crafts, healthy living, drumming, dancing and the Ojibwe language.

The Young Warriors Society meets every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 4 to 6 p.m.
