Naytahwaush man gets two years in prison for domestic assault, threats

Robert Duane Brown, 31, of N-114 Old Projects, Naytahwaush has been sentenced to two years in prison for felony domestic assault and felony terroristic threats.

On Dec. 28, a White Earth police officer was called to his home on a domestic disturbance report and witnessed him say to a woman (whom he had already assaulted) that he was going to knock her out.

He didn't realize the officer was standing behind him in a doorway at the time, according to court records.

On March 7, District Judge Mark Hansen sentenced him to two years in prison, with credit for jail time served, and fined him $50 plus court fees, to be paid from prison earnings.
