Piano students to perform in recital

The piano students of Audrey Savig, Audubon, will be presented in recital at the First Lutheran Church in Detroit Lakes on May l8.

The 2 p.m. program will consist of piano repertoire from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Contemporary Eras, student-teacher duets, and student compositions by the following:

Elementary students include: Jarrett Stelter, Brianna Clem, Andrew Dahlin, Carter Savig, Marissa Thompson, Eli Noel, Seth Felker, Morgan Lofgren, Alexa Carlson, Madelynn Thompson, Tyler Charboneau, Maren, Thompson, Brodie Savig, Aaron Felker, Jessica Komrosky, Tony Volker and Issac Clem.

High school students include: Austin Clem, Madelyn Dahlin, Jessica Stelter and Toni Tollefson.

Students are from the Detroit Lakes, Lake Park, and Audubon


Guest performer will be Megan Sharp, MSUM student, and former piano student of Audrey Savig.

Theory certificates from the Minnesota Music Teachers Association will be awarded to Aaron Felker and Jessica Komrosky for passing Theory 1 exam. An MMTA Piano Comprehensive Syllabus certificate will be awarded to Madlin Dahlin, passing with Distinction Level 2 exam.

These exams were given at Concordia College on May 3rd. MMTA certificates will be awarded to Madelynn Thompson and Maren Thompson, winners in the District Preliminary Piano Contest on Jan. 26, and performers in the State Final Piano Contest on March 15 at the University of Minnesota Campus in Minneapolis.

The public is invited to attend.
