Moorhead woman crashes car into Ulen VFW
ULEN - A Moorhead woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and reckless driving after she allegedly crashed her car into the Ulen VFW Club, Clay County Sheriff Bill Bergquist said.
A witness told authorities the woman was going more than 60 mph in a 30-mph zone on State Highway 32 in Ulen when she tried to pass a car, lost control, hit a flagpole and a parked car and crashed into the VFW about 8:44 p.m. Monday, Bergquist said.
Dorie Rothberg, 25, was treated and released at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo and then arrested on suspicion of DUI, reckless driving and no insurance, he said.
The impact of the 1999 Ford Taurus cracked the concrete block on the corner of the building, he said.
The VFW plans to replace the flagpole, assistant manager Lori Beck said
