Festival of Trees winners named

Winners from the 2008 Frazee Festival of Trees are:

Peoples Choice winner was "A Johnny Jumpen Christmas," which was a restored John Deere tractor display designed by Teresa Fett in memory of her parents Henry & Ruth Rethwisch. This award is decided by the vote of those attending the Festival of Trees.

The Designers Choice is decided by the committee and was a tie. One award went to "We Tree Kings," a clever display of the three kings made out of small trees and using juice bottles and other items for the heads and crowns designed by Mary Ann Ueke & Elaine Palmer.

The tie award went to Audrey Lockrem for "Talkin' Turkey with Santa," a tree whimsically made into a huge turkey.

The silent auction bid for "Let It Snow, Let It Snow..." donated by Roger Boe of the Backyard Station was won by Gladys Nickolausen. The tree had a pump to make it look like it was snowing on the tree.

The Frazee Area Community Club wishes to thank the many people who were involved by displaying a tree or volunteering to make the Festival of Trees the successful event that it was.
