Briard case goes to jury
The jury is still out on the Robert Briard case.
Briard, 62, a well-known hog farmer in rural Frazee, is charged with first- and second-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Attorneys made their closing arguments Tuesday afternoon and the case went to the 12-person jury, which deliberated for four-five hours before calling it a night sometime after 9 p.m., unable to reach a decision.
Jurors were sent home and will meet again at 9 a.m. today to continue their deliberations.
