Man hit by train in Moorhead
The man hit by a train Friday night in Moorhead has been identified by police as 61-year-old Gary Cargle of Moorhead.
The incident happened shortly before 10:30 p.m. Friday near Main Avenue and 14th Street.
Officers found Cargle lying between the rails under the second engine of the train. He received non-life threatening injuries to his head and foot, and was transported by ambulance to MeritCare Hospital in Fargo.
Moorhead Police Lt. Joel Scharf said all warning devices were operating, and that Cargle crawled under the gates to get onto the tracks.
