Authorities seize $22,000 Ecstasy stash in Thief River Falls
An ongoing investigation led to the seizure of about 885 Ecstasy pills Friday afternoon in Thief River Falls, the North Star Drug Task Force said.
At 3:30 p.m., deputies arrested 20-year-old Kenneth Strand, Stewartville, Minn., during a traffic stop on Main Street. They said he had more than 500 pills.
He was brought to the Pennington County Sheriff's Office and is being held on a first-degree controlled substance crime charge.
NSDTF officials estimate each pill has a street value of $25, making for a total of nearly $22,000 for the confiscated pills.
Strand will be held at the Pennington County Jail for arraignment Monday at the Pennington County District Court.
