Lake Park-Audubon students prove to be a jumping success
On April 3, students at Lake Park-Audubon Elementary in Audubon jumped all over heart disease and stroke by participating in Jump Rope For Heart. The students raised $1,800 for the American Heart Association and helped celebrate the 30th anniversary of the fund-raising event.
To motivate students, they were given the chance to be "Teacher for the Day" if they raised the most in their physical education class period. The following students chose and lead an activity of their choice: 6th grade: Kristen Rislund, Alexis Carr; 5th grade: Lilly Ness, Paul Jenson; 4th grade: Alexis Larson, Samantha Dahlgren; and 3rd grade; Amy Lundstrom and Jonathan Donovan.
Donations raised during Jump Rope For Heart help fund research to fight heart disease and stroke and also support the American Heart Association.
