Two injured in wrong-way accident on Highway 10 near New York Mills
NEW YORK MILLS - Two people sustained minor injuries when a pickup going the wrong way on Highway 10 early Monday collided head-on with a semi truck and rolled, the Minnesota State Patrol said.
The 1997 Mazda pickup was going eastbound in the westbound lanes of the divided highway when it crested on a hill at the Otter Tail County 67 bridge at the same time as the semi at about 1:42 a.m., the patrol said.
The vehicles collided, and the pickup rolled twice before coming to rest on the driver's side in the center median.
The truck's driver, Jesse Stocker, 30, of St. Joseph, and the pickup's driver, Joshua Klint, 28, of Bluffton, were both taken by ambulance to Tri-County Hospital in Wadena for minor injuries. A passenger in the pickup refused medical treatment.
The Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office and New York Mills and Perham police departments assisted with the accident.
