The following items were taken from reports at the Detroit Lakes Police Department and Becker County Sheriff's Department:

Tuesday, June 23

• At 10:03 a.m. vandalism was reported in the dock area at the ClubHouse. The previous two nights, someone had cut the cable holding the hotel's paddleboats, located between the hotel and the public access. It appears the boats were used, then brought back and dumped on shore. Alcohol appears to have played a role, and blood samples were taken from the scene from an apparent injury.

Wednesday, June 24

• At 11:14 a.m. a Detroit Lakes man reported the theft of numerous items from a locked room at a residence on the 32000 block of Highway 34 where he had been living prior to going into treatment.

• At 11:26 a.m. a woman reported the theft of a 2005 Sportsman 500 Polaris ATV, taken from the 39000 block of Highway 113 in Eagle View Township.

• At 6:33 a.m. a man reported the theft of a 2003 Cadillac Escalade from the 19000 block of Sherman Shores in the Audubon area.

Thursday, June 25

• At 11:54 a.m. a Fargo man reported the theft of three golf poles with flags, valued at $150 each, from a private site on Nelson Lake Road, Cormorant.

• At 12:15 p.m. a vacant house was reported on fire east of the community center in White Earth village. Firefighters from White Earth and Ogema were on the scene for 30-45 minutes.

• At 7:23 p.m. a head-on collision was reported at Richwood Road and Highway 34 in Detroit Lakes.

The crash occurred after a 1998 Oldsmobile went through a red light at an estimated 40 mph and struck a 2004 GMC Envoy that was southbound on Richwood Road.

The Envoy, driven by Cheryl Rae St. Claire, 55, of Callaway, spun counter-clockwise about 135 degrees and came to rest in the intersection.

The Oldsmobile, driven by Richard Wayne Anderson, 31, of Detroit Lakes veered about 10 degrees to the right, jumped the curb and came to rest 18-19 feet from the roadway.

Both drivers were taken to St. Mary's Innovis hospital by ambulance for treatment. A condition report was not available Friday.

• At 10:22 p.m. a White Earth man reported a man was assaulted in his driveway on the 36000 block of Loon Drive, White Earth. The man refused medical attention.

• At 11:30 p.m. a woman on Campbell Avenue in Detroit Lakes reported that a Mazda 626 was missing from her residence. A 25-year-old man was found driving it and arrested for DWI. The car owner did not want to pursue stolen vehicle charges.

Friday, June 26

• At 8:23 p.m. a man reportedly was hit in the face and back of the head by an unknown assailant in Detroit Lakes City Park.

An 18-year-old man on the scene admitted to an officer that he had assaulted the man because he was angry that he had left a third man drunk at the assailant's apartment after being told not to.

The 18-year-old was charged with fifth-degree assault.
