The following items were taken from reports at the Becker County Sheriff's Department and Detroit Lakes Police Department:

Thursday, July 2

• At 1:34 p.m. police responded to a complaint of a pickup truck full of kids not properly restrained.

The officer found seven kids in the Ford pickup, all under the age of 8. they were wearing seat belts, but their mother was not in compliance with the new state law on booster seats. A friend brought over some booster seats. No citations were issued.

• At 1:50 p.m. a woman on the 300 block of Oak Street reported that an unoccupied truck rolled into a tree in front of her residence.

• At 8:33 p.m. a woman reported that a man had stumbled out of Zorbaz, walked a short way, fell down near Minnesota Avenue and continued to lie there. The 21-year-old Fargo man was extremely intoxicated and was sent home by police with a sober friend.

Friday, July 3

• At 2:44 p.m. an Ogema man reported that a red Chevy S-10 Blazer had been stolen about three weeks ago.

• At 3:32 p.m. a Rochert man reported a cabin break-in on the 2600 block of Duffney Road in Holmesville Township.

• At 5:20 p.m. an Ogema woman reported an assault that occurred the previous night.

• At 6:15 p.m. a fight with a number of people involved was reported at the tubing "party spot" on the Ottertail River.

• At 7:15 p.m. a dog bite apparently led to threats made with a gun against the dog's life on the 11000 block of East Lake Eunice Road. The incident is under investigation.

• At 7:36 p.m. an assault was reported on the Ottertail River, in which a man was knocked unconscious.

• At 9:08 p.m. a man found two butterfly knives (double-bladed knives that look like oversized scissors) in the parking lot behind the Graystone Hotel.

• At 9:35 p.m. two young men were cited for illegal fireworks after complaints that they were shooting bottle rockets at cars in the Washington Square Mall parking lot. The fireworks were confiscated and destroyed.

• At 10:32 p.m. a Ponsford woman reported a 12-year-old boy suffered back injuries from a trampoline accident on the 29000 block of County Road 129. An EMS crew from North Memorial Ambulance in Park Rapids was on the scene for about 20 minutes.

• At 9:42 p.m. a Frazee man reported a theft from a residence in rural Frazee.

Saturday, July 4

• Throughout the day, police handled a number of complaints about loud music, fighting, erratic driving, illegal parking, illegal fireworks, partying boaters, lost wallets, lost cell phones, and public urination.

• At 1:32 a.m. a woman at Shorewood campground reported a man had ripped the pockets off her cousin's shorts, grabbed his wallet, and taken $200 from it.

Campground staff asked police to remove the 38-year-old woman and her cousin on a separate but related issue.

• At 1:41 a.m. the theft of a 26-inch Huffy bicycle was reported from the front yard of a house on the 1100 block of Jackson Avenue.

• At 2:59 a.m. a man was caught stealing items from cars on the 11000 block of Dakota Beach Road. He was found with property and cash on him.

• At 5:27 a.m. an accident was reported at County Road 37 and Highway 113. A pickup truck went off the roadway and into some trees. A man was reportedly injured in the crash. EMS workers from North Memorial Ambulance and Carsonville firefighters were on the scene for about 30 minutes.

• At 6:47 a.m. police received a report of an male, bloody and unresponsive, on a porch on the 300 block of Park Lake Blvd.

• At 9:32 a.m. an Ogema man reported the theft of a billfold and money order in White Earth.

• At 11:04 a.m. a Fargo man reported the theft of a depth-finder from the YMCA camp at Cormorant.

• At 12:03 p.m. a group of people on the City Beach caused a stir by smoking tobacco from a large bong. An officer advised them they were creating a nuisance and a negative image and told them to put the water pipe away or it would be confiscated.

• At 3:15 p.m. a Ponsford man reported a burglary at a house on the 28000 block of Waboose Drive. Taken were compact discs, a compact disc player and other items.

• At 4:30 p.m. a man reported having lost his wallet in City Park in Detroit Lakes. It contained about $100.

• At 4:46 p.m. a grass fire was reported on the bluff on the 12000 block of County Road 17, Lakeview Township. DL firefighters were on the scene for about 20 minutes.

• At 4:47 p.m. a fight was reported by Charlie' Tubing.

• At 5:26 p.m. an officer was called to Lincoln School playground in Detroit Lakes because kids had laid the benches down and were skateboarding on them. The officer made them put the benches back and leave.

• At 5:27 p.m. illegal fireworks were confiscated at the corner of Rossman Avenue and Willow Street.

• At 5:35 p.m. a vehicle break-in was reported at Charlie's Tubing. Taken were six wallets, two purses and three cell phones, along with a GPS unit.

• At 5:43 p.m. an accident with possible injuries was reported at County Road 112 and 280th Avenue, White Earth.

• At 6:18 p.m. an Osage man reported that he thought he heard shots. He went outside to see a grey Chevy pickup truck go into a neighbor's ditch. The truck had a flat tire and the driver took off dragging a fence.

• At 8:16 p.m. a Detroit Lakes woman reported the theft of an iPod the previous night from the 24000 block of South Melissa Drive.

• At 8:41 p.m. a West Fargo woman reported the theft of a purse containing $300 cash, apparently taken from a parked vehicle while she was tubing on the Ottertail River.

• At 9:03 p.m. a Pine Point woman reported a 23-year-old man had been assaulted in Pine Point. She requested medical help.

• At 10:30 p.m. a 24-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct near Lake Avenue on the beach.

• At 10:56 p.m. a resident on the 1500 block of East Shore Drive reported that a window had been broken to gain entry to a vehicle, and a purse and cell phone had been stolen.

Sunday, July 5

• At 12:34 a.m. a 22-year-old man was arrested near J&K Marina on the DL city beach for disorderly conduct and taken to jail.

• At 1:27 a.m. a woman was reported passed out near the DL City Beach. She was transported by ambulance to St. Mary's Innovis.

• At 2:54 a.m. a brush pile was lit on fire at Shorewood Campground. Staff there agreed to monitor the unplanned bonfire so it didn't get out of control.

• At 4:40 a.m. a White Earth woman reported her daughter had been assaulted in White Earth.

• At 6:23 a.m. St. Mary's Innovis reported a man was being treated there who had been assaulted at Shorewood Campground.

• At 3:44 p.m. a bike was reported stolen from the entrance of the Washington Square Mall.

Monday, July 6

• At 1:06 a.m. a Frazee resident reported items missing from a residence on the 600 block of East Main, Frazee.

• At 10:30 a.m. a Frazee man reported an accident with possible injuries on Highway 10, Audubon.

• At 11:38 a.m. an Audubon man reported license plates had been stolen from his vehicle.

• At 2:20 p.m. the theft of two purses and a flip-phone from an unlocked car near St. Mary's Innovis was reported by a 23-year-old woman.

• At 3:48 p.m. a motorcycle accident with minor injuries was reported on County Road 37 (the Shell Lake Road) north of Highway 34. A husband and wife from Fargo were riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle when it drifted off the roadway onto the shoulder and they laid the bike down.

Edsel Jay Kercher, 69, was driving and Rae Irene Kercher, 67, was the passenger. Both were taken to St. Mary's Innovis hospital for treatment.

• At 9:49 p.m. a man was found lying on the sidewalk near Floral Impressions. St. Mary's EMS responded.

Tuesday, July 7

• At 3:07 a.m. a 911 call was received from the 900 block of Lake Avenue. Officers found the courthouse doors unlocked and checked the building, but nobody was found.
