Peterson planning health care meetings during recess
Rep. Collin Peterson said he's gathered and is bringing with him details of four bills the congress is working on dealing with health care reform.
Peterson plans to discuss the bills at meetings he has scheduled throughout the 7th District to get feedback from people who come to them.
Peterson told WDAY radio news he has three meetings scheduled on health care and there may be more.
Health care community meetings are scheduled Friday in Willmar, Monday in Bemidji and another in Alexandria.
Peterson said the health care forums have been in the works for some time.
He and Rep. Tim Walz, a Mankato Democrat, have been a target of the state GOP, which claims the two refuse to hold health care meetings with constituents.
The GOP launched a TV ad today criticizing the Obama administration's health care plan.
