Weekend in Pines, walk coming to Osage

There's still time to sign up for The Center for Weight Management's Weekend in the Pines event set Friday and Saturday, Oct. 2-3, at the Smokey Hills Wilderness Retreat in Osage.

The informational and motivational retreat is geared for surgical weight-loss patients or those who are considering having the surgery.

Event highlights include keynote speaker, Allison Bottke, weight-loss patient, author and radio/TV personality. Surgeon Dr. Daniel Smith, who leads the surgical team at the Center, will also be featured.

Other visiting special guests will be a plastic surgeon and a dermatologist in addition to St. Joseph's Area Health Services and Innovis Health Park Rapids professionals who will speak in the topics of nutrition, addiction, supplements and core strengthening.

The Weekend in the Pines favorites are always the "Before & After" presentations, question and answer time with the Center for Weight Management's "Dream Team" of professionals, and break-out sessions with other participants on weight-loss journeys. There will also be time for wellness checks, relaxation and pampering.
