Two hurt in crash on Highway 34 north of Frazee

Two people were injured Thursday morning in a broadside crash at Highway 34 and County Road 29 (near the Four Corners restaurant) in Becker County.

Jessica J. Stockstrom, 28, of Frazee and Karen A. Nelson, 65, of Park Rapids both suffered non life-threatening injuries in the crash.

They were in separate vehicles.

Nelson was driving a 2010 Subaru station wagon westbound on Highway 34.

She was alone in the car, which was hit broadside by a 2003 Ford Escape that was northbound on County Road 29 and failed to yield, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Jessica Stockstrom was a passenger in the Ford escape. The driver was Ryan D. Stockstrom, 28, of Frazee, who suffered no apparent injuries.

Also in the Escape were Samual D. Stockstrom, 6, of Frazee and Ashton A. Stockstrom, 2, of Frazee. Neither suffered any apparent injuries, according to the State Patrol.

The accident was reported at 9:30 a.m. on icy blacktop.

The Becker County Sheriff's Department assisted at the scene.
