Three crashes with injuries in Otter Tail County Thursday

Three accidents with injuries were reported in Otter Tail County on Thursday.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol:

• At 4:28 p.m., a rollover crash was reported involving injuries on Highway 59 near Dunvilla (north of Pelican Rapids).

The driver of the vehicle, Ashley Anderson, 20, of Wheaton, ran off the roadway and went into the ditch, began to skid, attempted to drive back onto the highway, and rolled.

Passengers included a 1-year-old and a 13-year-old girl. The girl was ejected from the vehicle and transported by Lifeflight helicopter to Sanford Hospital in Fargo.

Anderson said she swerved to avoid an animal in the roadway prior to losing control. She allegedly does not have a valid driver's license and the crash is under investigation.

Medical conditions are not available for those involved in the crash.

• At 12:05 p.m. an injury crash was reported involving a car and a tractor on Highway 108 east of Dent.

A 1996 Toyota Camry rear-ended a 1973 International farm tractor that was pulling a bi-fold rake.

The driver of the Toyota, Maxine Shaw, 56, of Dent, said she may have fallen asleep just before she struck the farm combination. Shaw was wearing a seat belt and airbags deployed.

Shaw was transported by the Perham Ambulance to the Perham Hospital.

The driver of the tractor combination, Hunter Nodsle, 34, of Dent was not injured.

Nodsle was not displaying a "slow moving emblem" on the rear of his units. No citations were immediately issued to either driver. Shaw's injuries did not appear to be severe.

• At 9:18 p.m., a rollover crash was reported involving an injury on Highway 235 approximately five miles west of Parkers Prairie.

A 2001 Ford Ranger was westbound on Highway 235 when it went off a curve into the ditch, struck an embankment, and rolled over several times before coming to a rest on the vehicle's rooftop.

The driver, Dustin Stephan, 28, of Parkers Prairie was not wearing a seatbelt and needed to be extricated from the vehicle.

Stephan was transported via helicopter to a hospital in St. Cloud.

Stephan had allegedly been drinking and a blood test was obtained. Stephan has two prior DUI's on his driver's record.

While investigating the crash, a vehicle stopped at the scene to check on Stephan. That vehicle was driven by Rachael Rothenberger, 21, of West Fargo.

Rothenberger was cited for "No Minnesota Driver's License."

The State Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Parkers Prairie Police Department and the Parkers Prairie Fire Department.
