Fargo police seek suspects in attempted armed robbery

FARGO - Police are looking for two males suspected of attempting to rob a couple at knifepoint early this morning near the Bowler in south Fargo.

The suspects are described as two black males in their late teens or early twenties wearing black hooded sweatshirts, said Lt. Joel Vettel of the Fargo police.

Officers were called at about 12:45 a.m. to a report of an attempted armed robbery at the 2600 block of South University Drive.

The victims reported one of the males had a knife and asked for money. The couple fled uninjured, Vettel said.

Police are following up on some leads and reviewing surveillance video, he said.

Vettel said he is confident the police will be able to track down the suspects, but ask anyone with information to contact the Fargo police.
