Woman seeks $75k for orange juice injury
FERGUS FALLS - A woman here has filed a lawsuit against Cass-Clay and its then-parent company saying she got a piece of plastic stuck in her throat after drinking the company’s orange juice in 2010.
The lawsuit, filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Minnesota, says Debbie Jo Larson was injured while drinking Cass-Clay orange juice in her Fergus Falls home on July 12, 2010, because it was “contaminated by a piece of foreign material; namely, a loose, sharp piece of plastic, apparently floating concealed within the orange juice.”
Larson is seeking at least $75,000 in damages from the company. Cass-Clay has yet to file a response.
