Semi driver injured when rig strikes snowplow near Dalton

DALTON, Minn. – A semi driver struck a snowplow Tuesday morning on Otter Tail County Highway 82 near here, suffering a minor injury.

As the snowplow driver was turning around just outside of Dalton at about 8:45 a.m., the semi driver was unable to see it because of poor visibility, according to an Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office report.

The semi rear-ended the plow, smashing the windshield on the semi. Flying debris inside the semi gave its driver, Cody Johnson of Ashby, a minor cut on his head. The plow operator, Roger Lewis of Fergus Falls, wasn’t injured, and the plow was able to continue plowing.

The semi was severely damaged and was towed.
