The following items were taken from reports at the Becker County Sheriff's Department and Detroit Lakes Police Department.

Wednesday, Sept. 2

• At 10:17 a.m. a White Earth man on the 26000 block of County Road 133 reported that his son had been beaten up by a tribal police officer and $300 had been stolen from him.

Tribal Police Administrative Sgt. Mike Bluerock said the matter has been looked into there is no truth to the allegations. The officer in question was one of seven who responded to the initial report of a young man being assaulted. They could find no evidence that he had been assaulted, though he was disoriented. He gave three different versions of an assault. He was released to his grandmother and about 10 minutes later his father made the report to the sheriff's department, Bluerock said.

• At 2:11 p.m. an Osage woman reported that a man had intentionally cut an ornamental tree in half at the Riverside Cemetery.

• At 4:09 p.m. a Ponsford woman reported the theft of stereo speakers, amps and an Xbox video game system, taken from a house on the 2300 block of Shinob Trail.

• At 7:43 p.m. a Frazee man reported that his mother took the license plates off his pickup truck and put them on her Plymouth van.

• At 10:30 p.m. a Ponsford man reported a residential burglary. Movies were stolen and pictures were ripped off the walls.

Thursday, Sept. 3

• At 12:15 p.m. Emmanuel nursing home called 911 to report that a patient with anger problems was running away in an electric wheelchair.
