A one-car rollover on Interstate 94 near Osakis Thursday triggered a flurry of emergency response activity and traffic back-ups while the driver escaped serious injury.

The crash happened at about 3:45 p.m. near mile marker 115 east of Osakis.

Thomas Trinh, 21, of New Hope was driving east when he lost control of his vehicle, according to the State Patrol.

The car crossed the median and rolled several times before landing on its roof in the west-bound lane. Initial reports indicated that the vehicle was on fire and the driver was trapped inside.

The air bags deployed and Trinh, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered only minor injuries, according to the State Patrol.

The Osakis First Responders, Osakis Fire and Rescue, Douglas County sheriff's deputies and North Ambulance assisted the State Patrol at the scene.
