Sebeka man seriously injured in Friday afternoon crash

Authorities responded to a two-vehicle crash at approximately 2:30 p.m. Friday about two miles north of Sebeka on Highway 71 near 308th Street. Lieutenant Mike Wedin of the Minnesota State Patrol said the single occupant of the pictured silver Pontiac sedan suffered serious injuries in the collision, while the two occupants of the other vehicle involved suffered minor injuries.

A Sebeka man is listed in serious condition after his vehicle was broadsided by another car Friday afternoon on Highway 71 as he attempted to make a left turn nmorth iof Sebeka.

Nathan Wierimaa, 26 was northbound on the highway when the crash occurred just before 2:30 p.m.

An Avon couple driving a Toyota Highlander that struck Wierimaa escaped life-threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol.

Both vehicles were heavily damaged and traffic had to be rerouted on the busy highway. The crash ocurred at 308th Street in Wadena County.

The couple was identified as Robert B. Fulton, 70, and Jacquelyn M. Fulton, 72, both of Avon.

It was unknown which hospital Wierimaa was taken to.
