One-vehicle rollover

Several injury accidents were reported in the area on Wednesday:

At 8:29 p.m., a two-vehicle collision was reported at Frazee Street and Roosevelt Avenue in Detroit Lakes.

The crash injured an 11-year-old girl, Alexi Ann Butcher, who was taken by ambulance to the Detroit Lakes hospital Wednesday night with non-life threatening injuries.

She was riding in a 1997 Mercury driven by Jerykka Anne Carlisle, 18, of Detroit Lakes, which was southbound on Roosevelt Avenue.

It was struck by a 2000 Buick, driven by Erlene Ann DeCock, 60, of Rochert, which was northbound on Roosevelt Avenue and turning left onto Frazee Street.

Airbags deployed in both cars and both drivers had a green light. The Detroit Lakes Police Department was assisted on scene by the Detroit Lakes Fire Department and St. Mary’s EMS.

Also on Wednesday, a one-vehicle rollover was reported at 4:36 p.m. on County road 47 about a mile north of Highway 87.

Brandon Myron Christianson, 31, of Osage suffered non-life-threatening injuries when the Honda Fit four-door hatchback he was driving left the roadway and rolled multiple times. Christianson said he fell asleep behind the wheel. He was alone in the car.

He was transported by ambulance to the Park Rapids hospital.

He was wearing a seatbelt or his injuries would likely have been much worse, according to the Becker County Sheriff’s Office. The accident remains under investigation.
