Suspect arrested in Bemidji, Minn., fraternity party stabbing
BEMIDJI, Minn. — The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office has identified and arrested the person suspected of stabbing a man at a fraternity party on Sunday.
Jacob Andrew Young, 21, of Walker was located and arrested in Hackensack. Young is accused of stabbing Jace Jeffrey Ugrich, 18, of Bovey in the back at Theta Tau Epsilon Fraternity Alumni in Bemidji on Sunday.
Young was transported to the Beltrami County Jail, where he remains in custody pending review of the case by the Beltrami County Attorney’s Office.
Sheriff’s investigators identified two people of interest earlier this week and interviewed several witnesses prior to identifying Young as the suspect.
A $1,000 reward was offered for information aiding in the investigation on Friday. The Cass County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office in the investigation.
