Dark window tint leads to felony drug charge
Matthew Paul Hoffman, 25, of 1612 Adams St. N.E., Apartment 1, Minneapolis has been charged in Becker County District Court with felony fifth-degree controlled substance crime -- possession.
According to court records:
He was pulled over at 4 p.m. on July 22 by a trooper on Highway 59 who observed apparently illegal window tint on the Chevy Tahoe he was driving. (He was later cited for 18 percent window tint).
The trooper observed his eyes were bloodshot, there was a Visine bottle on the center console and air fresheners hanging from the emergency brake. The driver also avoided eye contact while speaking to the trooper.
