Crime and accidents

The following items were taken from reports at the Detroit Lakes Police Department and Becker County Sheriff's Department.

Friday, Jan. 22

• At 6:47 p.m., a Department of Correction employee reported that a male wanted on a warrant fled from him near Stop-n-Go in Detroit Lakes.

• At 10:48 p.m., Detroit Lakes police arrested a 52-year-old male on suspicion of fourth-degree DWI on Highway 10 east of Hawley.

Saturday, Jan. 23

• At 8:11 a.m., a Detroit Lakes sand truck and a passenger vehicle were involved in an accident on Willow Street west of Washington Avenue. No injuries were reported.

• At 12:53 p.m., two vehicles were involved in an accident on County Road 22 near the Chesterfield addition. There was significant damage to both vehicles, but no injuries. A 27-year-old female was arrested on suspicion of second-degree DWI.

• At 4:49 p.m., a gas drive-off was reported at Orton's in Audubon.

• At 6:50 p.m., a Detroit Lakes female living on the 15000 block of North Meadow Drive reported that someone living in North Carolina was opening credit card accounts in her name.

Sunday, Jan. 24

• At 1:48 a.m., a female resident on the 1000 block of West Avenue in Detroit Lakes reported that someone destroyed a snowman and placed a neighbor's garbage can lid in her yard.

• At 2:54 p.m., a cabin was reportedly broken into on the 11000 block of Ravenwood Beach Road in Lake View Township.

Monday, Jan. 25

• At 11:39 a.m., a 38-year-old Audubon male reportedly made threats to the front-desk staff at Drake Counseling on the 100 block of West Willow Street in Detroit Lakes while paying the bill of another person, according to the police report. The male told police his comments were misunderstood and he was frustrated with the system.

• At 11:48 a.m., a minor two-vehicle accident was reported in the Radio Shack parking lot.

• At 1:38 p.m., a Runeberg Township male reported that someone duct taped his mailbox.

• At 4:56 p.m., a female living on the 17000 block of Long Lake Drive reported that someone in a yellow Dodge Ram truck was taking photos of the neighborhood.

Tuesday, Jan. 26

• At 4:10 a.m., a 25-year-old White Earth female who lives near Kays Corner reported that her car was missing. She said her brother may have taken the vehicle. It was later found in a ditch nearby.
