UPDATED: Police searching for three suspects in Moorhead Super 8 robbery

MOORHEAD - Police are looking for three male suspects in connection with an armed robbery reported at 9:53 p.m. Monday at the Super 8 Motel here.

Witnesses said the suspects entered the motel at 3621 8th St. S. and displayed two handguns to the clerk. The suspects then demanded money and left the motel with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The clerk was not injured during the robbery.

The suspects fled the motel on foot and were said to be headed westbound from the motel. Shortly after the robbery a vehicle, possibly a gold 1990s Chevy Cavalier, was reported to have traveled northbound on Seventh Street from 37th Avenue South at a high rate of speed.

The suspects are described as African-American males in their 20s, approximately 5-foot-7 with thin builds. All were wearing dark-colored clothing, one wearing a blue hoodless sweatshirt. One suspect wore a white cloth to cover his face and another wore a dark cloth. Police said it's unknown what the third suspect was using to conceal this face.

The Moorhead Police Department is asking the community's assistance if they happened to be in the area at the time of the robbery and witnessed anything suspicious.
