FARGO - Police are looking for two men who brandished handguns and stole an unknown amount of money from a check-cashing store in south Fargo on Thursday night.

Lt. Joel Vettel said two men entered Red D Ca$h at 3060 25th St. S. at about 6:05 p.m., showed the clerk handguns and demanded cash.

Only one employee was there at the time, and that person immediately gave the men an undisclosed amount of money, Vettel said. The store closed at 6.

"The clerk did the right thing by giving over the cash and prevented any sort of further violence from happening," Vettel said. No injuries were reported, and no shots were fired.

Vettel said the men left the store on foot, and officers were canvassing the area with a police dog unit.

The suspects are described as black males, both with skinny builds, in their 20s, and both wearing dark clothing and ski masks. Investigators are studying surveillance footage from the store.

"We're very fortunate in this community. We have a high level of solvability with these types of crimes," Vettel said.
