Driver in 45th Street crash arrested on suspicion of DUI; 3 hospitalized
FARGO - The driver of a car that allegedly struck three vehicles Saturday night at 45th Street and Interstate 94 was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving, and he, his passenger and another woman were hospitalized after the last crash, police said.
The crashes happened at about 11:30 p.m.
Fargo police Sgt. Jim VanLith said the suspect was driving a car on 45th Street when he struck two vehicles on the north side of I-94, causing minor damage but no injuries.
The suspect allegedly struck a third car on the south side of the interchange as it was exiting I-94 onto northbound 45th Street, he said.
The driver of that car, Pamela Boj-Rivas, had to be extricated from her car before being taken to Essentia Health with non-life-threatening injuries, VanLith said. Her age and address were not available.
The suspect, Gene Larson of Hixton, Wis., was arrested on suspicion of DUI. He and his female passenger also were taken to Essentia Health with non-life-threatening injuries.
Both vehicles involved in the third crash were totaled, VanLith said.
