Rochert man gets 9 years on meth charge
A Rochert man was sentenced to prison recently in Becker County District Court on a drug possession charge.
Eric Ryan Bergstrom, 31, of 39909 County Road 126, Rochert, was ordered to serve 111 months (9¼ years) in prison, with credit for 323 days already served. He was also fined $135.
The charge stemmed from an Aug. 28, 2012 incident in which special agents of the West Central Minnesota Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at Bergstrom’s residence in Detroit Lakes. During the search, the agents found about 54 grams of what was later identified as methamphetamine, along with numerous Ziploc bags, scales and some loose pills that contained oxycodone and oxycontin, along with about $3,000 in cash.
