Men accused of releasing mice at Wisconsin McDonald’s, Walmart

NEW RICHMOND, Wis. -- Two New Richmond men face charges of disorderly conduct after being accused of releasing mice in local businesses.

Daniel Birt Curran, 19, and William Francis Curran, 25, pleaded not guilty to the charges last week in St. Croix County Circuit Court.

A criminal complaint says Daniel Curran released a black and white mouse in a McDonald’s restaurant on April 19.

On April 22, William Curran is accused of placing a mouse in the Ronald McDonald donation box in the drive-up window. He also allegedly released three mice onto the cheese in the cheese cooler at Walmart that same day.

A pretrial conference was scheduled for Dec. 10 for both men.
