Moorhead man pleads guilty in drug conspiracy
FARGO – The trial here for a Moorhead, Minn., man charged in U.S. District Court with aiding and abetting a conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and marijuana came to a stop Thursday when the defendant pleaded guilty.
The case against David R. Cerna Jr., 37, involved the transportation of methamphetamine from Texas to the Fargo-Moorhead area, according to a statement released by the U.S. attorney’s office in Fargo.
The statement said co-conspirators obtained large quantities of marijuana from the Twin Cities area and distributed it throughout Fargo-Moorhead.
Cerna faces 10 years to life in prison, according to the U.S. attorney’s office, which said more than a dozen defendants have been convicted in the conspiracy.
