Hancock man accused of sex with 14-year-old
MORRIS, Minn. – A 29-year-old Hancock man has been charged with two counts of criminal sexual conduct in the third degree after allegedly sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl from Alexandria.
Adan Moreno-Villarreal pleaded not guilty to both counts this week.
The girl told Morris police that she came to Morris on Feb. 7 to stay with a friend for the weekend. About 10:30 p.m. that night, the girl began texting with Moreno-Villarreal, who she said she had met on Facebook but had not met in person, the complaint states.
According to the complaint, Moreno-Villarreal provided alcohol to the girl and took her to another house in Morris. The girl told police she remembered waking up with the defendant naked on top of her, and he had penetrated her.
The complaint also states that Moreno-Villarreal was aware of the girl’s age through messages they exchanged on Facebook and that Moreno-Villarreal acknowledged that he knew she was 14 at the time of the incident in his interview with police.
