The following items were taken from reports at the Detroit Lakes Police Department and Becker County Sheriff’s Office.

Thursday, July 3

At 7:34 a.m. authorities were called to County Roads 5 and 4 for a rollover accident.

The female driver was not injured.

At 10:26 a.m. a car was reported on fire. The Frazee Fire Department responded; it took crews a half hour to handle the fire that completely destroyed the vehicle.

At 4:22 p.m. a theft was reported in Savanna Township at a residence along Wilderness Bay Road.

A game camera had been stolen sometime over the weekend.

At 4:23 p.m. police were called to a pole barn at Meadow Drive in Detroit Township where a battery and boat motor were reported stolen. They were worth approximately $550.

Friday, July 4

At 7:11 a.m. police were called to the 900 block of Rossman Avenue where neighbors of a residence reported somebody had dug up the person’s flower garden and threw it onto the roadway.

At 6:02 p.m. a theft from Zorbaz was reported; the caller claimed to be missing a phone and wallet.

At 9:41 p.m. authorities responded to a call of an assault at the Park Area pavilion.

One person was injured; no arrests were made.

At 2:16 p.m. authorities were called to 232nd Avenue for a report of damage done to a vehicle. A red Nissan vehicle had been reported ripping around the area.

At 8:55 p.m. a call came in about a black pickup that was sideswiping vehicles along Ravenswood Beach Road in Lakeview Township.

At 11:32 p.m. a fire was reported in a garage along Victory Lane in Lake Park. The small fire was reportedly sparked from fireworks.

Saturday, July 5

At 8:10 a.m. crews were called to County Road 156 and 280th Street for a report of a hay bale on fire.

At 9:42 a.m. Carsonville Fire & Rescue responded to a van on fire along County Road 129.

At 2 p.m. there was property damage reported on Minnesota Lane where three lights were pushed over onto the street.

Sunday, July 6

At 1:59 p.m. a paddle boat was reported missing from Little Detroit.

There was also a theft reported from a flea market where drills, tools and other items were reported stolen.

At 8:27 a.m. police responded to a report of property damage along the 1,000 block of Washington Avenue where a windshield of a vehicle was broken and a boat vandalized. Blood was found at the scene.

At 2:06 p.m. an assault was reported along West Lake Drive. A male was taken to the hospital for lacerations to his chin and face. The victim said he did not know his attackers.

At 2:37 p.m. authorities were called to the Becker County Fairgrounds where there was a report of a cooler taken from the back of a pickup.

Tuesday, July 8

At 10:46 authorities were called to the 200 block of Shorewood Drive where a caller reported a Toro self-propelled lawn mower stolen from the side of his garage.

At 11:30 a.m. a theft from a motor vehicle was called in. Multiple items were taken from a vehicle that was at the Becker County Fairgrounds on July 3.

At 12:34 p.m. police responded to the 12,000 block of Cedar Avenue on a report of a person that had shot his neighbor’s dog after it reportedly would not leave his yard.

Wednesday, July 9

At 3:02 p.m. police responded to the Lakes Liquor Store where a male had reportedly stole a bottle of liquor and then took off.

The man was later identified through video surveillance.

Thursday, July 10

At 7:41 a.m. authorities responded to a report of a garbage truck on its side along 400th Avenue South and Highway 34. No injuries were reported.

A theft of a motor vehicle was reported later that morning from the Viking hatchery at 920 E. Highway 34. The vehicle was a tan colored 1996 Jeep Cherokee.

At 2:39 p.m. a theft was reported along the 1,000 block of Washington Avenue. Two benches were stolen from a parking lot and there was a large gash in an overhead door.

Friday, July 11

At 5:44 a.m. police responded to Peoples Park in Detroit Lakes for a report of vandalism at the warming house.

At 8:35 a.m. there was a burglary reported at Crane Road where tires and cold storage were reported stolen.
