N.D. man in court for fourth DWI charge
A Bisbee, N.D., man made his initial court appearance on a felony DWI charge in Becker County.
Paul Allan Joseph Thomas, 25, was arrested after authorities got a complaint of a man squealing his tires in the parking lot of Lakeside Tavern in Detroit Lakes.
Responding officers suspected Thomas of being intoxicated and conducted a field sobriety test.
Upon failure of that test, Thomas was arrested and brought to the Becker County Jail where his blood alcohol was determined to be .29.
Thomas’ driving privileges had been revoked at the time of arrest; he had three previous DWIs from 2008, 2009 and 2010.
